Lerte Tellah – Nairobi
Five of the family members, a woman, and four children, died on Tuesday morning, Tuesday 13th August as their car was involved in a fatal accident with a lorry at Mbaruk, Gilgil in Nakuru County.
The incident was confirmed by Gilgil Sub County Police Commander Jamleck Ngaruiya revealing that the Mercedes Benz driver was overtaking on the wrong lane and collided with the lorry.
The car was a personal one that was approaching towards the Nakuru from Gilgil side and on the other hand the truck was moving towards the side of Nairobi from Nakuru. One of the drivers of the Benz vehicle was alive to tell the story and was quickly rushed to Gilgil Sub County Hospital for treatment. After the incident, the woman and four children died on the spot through the impact of the incident and were taken to Gilgil Sub County Hospital Morgue.
The two vehicles were also proceeded to Gilgil Police Station.
