These new ventures promise to elevate the region’s profile and support the government’s Utalii Mashinani initiative, which aims to open up counties to tourism.
The Royal Suites Hotel, boasting five-star comfort in the heart of Bungoma, offers a luxurious retreat for both local and international travelers. On the other hand, Veterans Lounge located in Sango Webuye opposite Rai Paper factory prides itself in hospitality services delivery in a relaxed, gated and serene atmosphere for breakaways and Lucky Choma Zone embraces the rich Luhya culture with authentic cuisine and traditional dance performances, giving visitors a taste of the region’s vibrant heritage.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the investors expressed their enthusiasm for showcasing Bungoma’s potential as a premier tourist destination. “We are committed to supporting the Utalii Mashinani initiative while demonstrating that Bungoma and the western region have much to offer,” they stated.
The establishments are expected to attract Kenyans returning home for Christmas celebrations, offering an alternative to the coast region, which has traditionally dominated holiday travel. “Visiting these establishments is like being home away from the big cities. Guests will enjoy luxurious hospitality combined with cultural authenticity, all within the comfort of their rural roots,” the investors noted.
