Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has strongly denied claims linking him to a multi-billion-shilling land dispute in Kiambu County, terming the allegations false and misleading.
In a press statement issued Tuesday night by the Ministry of Interior’s communications department, Murkomen dismisses a media report that associates him with an alleged land-grabbing scheme involving a prime property.
The CS describes the claims as baseless, saying the publication is founded on “rumour, conjecture and wild allegations.”
He maintains that he has no personal interest in the land in question and is not aware of its location or any ongoing dispute surrounding it.
According to Murkomen, attempts to link him to the contested property are unfounded, adding that he has never been involved in any transactions or dealings related to the land or its ownership.
The statement comes amid heightened public scrutiny over land ownership disputes in parts of Kiambu County, where cases involving prime properties have increasingly drawn national attention.
