The Office of the Attorney General has announced 70 openings for students to join its six-month pupillage program, set to begin in January 2025. According to an advertisement, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose outlined the requirements and application process for interested candidates.
To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university. They are also required to provide a copy of their National ID, a letter from the Kenya School of Law (KSL) authorizing them to proceed with pupillage, and copies of their academic certificates and testimonials.
Additionally, Mose emphasized that candidates should have strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili, exhibit a proactive attitude, and be willing to learn while working on challenging assignments within strict deadlines. Computer literacy is also essential.
Prospective candidates are instructed to download and complete the official pupillage application form. The Office of the Attorney General has advised that no additional documents should be attached to the form, and all required information must be filled out within the form itself.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews, where they will need to present their original identification documents, academic certificates, and the KSL letter.
Interested applicants must submit the completed application form via email to pupillage@ag.go.ke by October 24, 2024.
