Today, Dr. John Murumba Chikati, Secretary General of the Ford Kenya party, confirmed Major Wafula Mutacho as the interim chairperson for Trans nzoia County.
This decision follows a directive from the FK Management Committee and the recent elections held over the weekend.
The FK elections, conducted on September 29, were overseen by the party’s Director of Elections, Madam Khadija Mustapha, alongside national leaders, including Deputy Party Leader Milicent Omanga.
Trans nzoia County is one of the counties where the party is enhancing leadership through grassroots elections.
During a brief ceremony at the party’s headquarters in Simba House, Nairobi, Secretary General Dr. Chikati urged all party members and stakeholders to support Major Mutacho in efforts to foster growth and expand party membership.
He emphasized the importance of inclusivity, directing Major Mutacho to engage all stakeholders, even those who may disagree with him, in the leadership and management of the party.
Dr. Chikati highlighted Ford Kenya’s rich history and its anticipated significant role in Kenyan politics as the 2027 elections approach.
