Loikas Mixed Day School in Samburu County has received a significant boost to its facilities with the donation of 50 lockers and 50 chairs from the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) of Samburu West, courtesy of Member of Parliament Hon. Naisula Lesuuda. The donation, which aims to improve the learning environment for the students, was warmly welcomed by both the students and teachers, who expressed their deep gratitude for the support.
The new furniture will provide much-needed relief to the school, which has been struggling with inadequate resources. The students will now have a more comfortable and conducive environment for their studies, enhancing their overall educational experience.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from Hon. Naisula Lesuuda and the NG-CDF. These lockers and chairs will greatly benefit our students, enabling them to focus better on their studies,” a representative from the school administration said.
Looking ahead, Loikas Mixed Day School has more plans to enhance its facilities. The school administration has announced that this financial year, they will prioritize the construction of a science laboratory to support practical learning for science subjects. In the future, they also plan to develop an administration block, gradually building towards a fully-fledged institution to serve the educational needs of local children.
“We are committed to developing our school step by step, ensuring that our children have access to quality education in a well-equipped environment,” a school spokesperson added.
The support from the Samburu West NG-CDF and Hon. Naisula Lesuuda demonstrates the ongoing commitment to improving educational standards in the region, helping local schools achieve better infrastructure and resources for learning.
