Following the recent visits by president William Ruto, Bumula Member of Parliament Jack Wamboka has condemned the visit of President William Ruto to Bungoma County on Sunday.
Wamboka says it is clear that Ruto is playing tricks on the residents of Bungoma despite voting for him in large numbers in the 2022 general elections.
The Member of Parliament has mentioned the development promises of the president to the residents of Bungoma county as nothing compared to the projects worth billions of money that have been launched recently in the Nyanza .
“We don,t want prayers alone, what we want as residents of Bumgoma are sustainable development projects like you are launching in other parts of the nation”. Wamboka said.
Wamboka addressing residents in Sirende, Siboti Ward after launching the construction of houses for vulnerable families, mentioned the president’s visit to Bungoma County on Sunday as having no meaning for the people compared to his visit to the Lake Victoria region where the residents witnessed the launch of development projects.
The member of parliament who is well known for his TAWE linguistic vocabulary has challenged the speaker of the national assembly Moses Wetangula and the Prime minister Musalia Mudavadi to be vigilant in the broad-based government so that they are not left behind when other parts are benefiting through development.
It should be noted that the head of state has been making frequent visit to the county and tanking residents for breaking a tie between him and ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 general elections, big question remaining the impact of those visits to the residents.
