The festival also hosted a business expo, music awards, and various competitions that showcased the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of the Samburu people.

The closing ceremony of the Manyatta Festival was graced by distinguished guests, including Hon. Naisula Lesuuda, Senator Ledama Olekina, and Hon. Catherine Omanyo, who joined the celebrations and commended the event’s role in promoting the rich cultural heritage of Samburu County.

In addition to the festival, the county also hosted a series of sports competitions, including a football tournament and a volleyball competition, which drew enthusiastic participation from local teams and provided thrilling entertainment for spectators.

Meanwhile, Samburu Governor H.E. Lati Lelelit attended the Lopiro Lmasula event, an occasion dedicated to celebrating the traditional and cultural enrichment of the Samburu people. The week culminated in the celebration of International Youth Day. The youthful CECM for Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, H.E. H.E. Moses Leluata specifically encouraged young people to engage in the application process for county tenders in the 2024/2025 period, promising to advocate for youth inclusion in the county’s development projects through collaboration with the county governor. He also extended special appreciation to H.E. Governor Lati Lelelit for his unwavering belief in youth leadership within his administration.
